The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Fellow Officers and Ladies of the Household,

Fall has been quite a whirlwind! PQ Sharon Norvell and I had the pleasure of attending six Supreme Queen visits around the region and were also joined by PQ Marian Trapp, PQ Judy Peak, and Pr. Royal Robbi Redman for some of them. It is always such a joy to visit other temples, see old friends, and make new friends. PQ Sharon and I also visited the new Lexington Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center, adjacent to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Not only is this new facility on the cutting edge of technology and research, it is a warm, cheery, and welcoming environment in which to treat these special kids.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the 4-H Fair Concessions, worked or attended our annual Fall Card Party, and supported our Wine and Whiskey Tasting events and annual BBQ sale. All were successful fundraisers. We are on track to surpass our previous year’s temple fundraising efforts!

At our August ceremonial, we welcomed eight new Princesses to Isis Temple, and it’s been so exciting to see several of them getting involved quickly in our activities and sessions. On October 28, we were honored to welcome Supreme Queen Karen L. Keuther to her official visit to Isis Temple. We initiated seven more new Princesses that day! Our 15 new members are Sandra Andrews, Melissa Brenner, Penny Campbell, Sharon Carpenter, Deb Cissna, Theresa Cravener, Megan Davis, Heather Johnson, Kris Kaelin, Toni Klueg, Heather Laflen, Connie Mabee, Donna Redden, Jamie Tackett, and Amy Word-Smith. Please say hello to these ladies when you see them and encourage them to get involved in any way they can. Remember, we have another ceremonial scheduled for the evening of our February Stated Session. Who do you know that you’d like to propose for membership?

It was great to see so many smiling faces at our September Stated Session. We were happy to honor our Past Queens and 50-Year Members. In November, we honored Founders Day with a fun bit of history about our sewing club from PQ Nancy Markham. I’d like to extend a special thank you to PQ Jean Rickard and PSQ Sue Layman for making our fall receptions and Supreme Queen visitation banquet so lovely. And thank you to the entire SQ Visit Committee for all your hard work and preparations for SQ Karen’s visit.

Monday, Dec. 4, we will have a Christmas party after our Stated Session, hosted by the Egyptian Band. The Princeton Nile Club Cookie Exchange (my favorite meeting of the year!) will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, at R’Z Restaurant in Ft. Branch. We will meet at 12 p.m. for lunch and to exchange our cookies. If you are able to attend, please bring 3 dozen cookies to trade. If you wish to carpool, we meet at the Holiday Inn Airport on Hwy 41 around 11:30 a.m. Please contact Pr. Royal Robbi Redman: 812-589-2508.

Trivia Night is back in January! Join us on Monday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. for Tacos & Trivia. Bring your own team of four to compete for prizes, or join together with other attendees to form a team that evening. Non-members are welcome. RSVP by email at isis41rsvp@gmail.com or by phone to JPQ Jennifer Nance at 812-449-2405. Watch for more info soon. I can’t believe we’re already talking about the new year!

I hope each and every one of you have a very happy and safe holiday season. I look forward to sharing this season of love and good cheer with you.

Nile Love and Pixie Dust,

Krista Williams
