Fellow Officers and Ladies of the Household,
I hope you had a very merry Christmas. Also, I wish you a very prosperous New Year. Our Christmas was great. We went to Colorado to spend Christmas with our kids and grandkids for the first time in 17 years.
In November, we had our ceremonial initiating 9 new members. It was exciting to see so many new faces! Also, we voted on a new candidate, Natasha Wheeler, who lives in Germany. We are doing an obligation by Skype or Facetime for her in a couple of weeks.
The Nile Social at Canton Inn was outstanding. There was more than 50 members, spouses, and friends who attended. Good fellowship was had by all. My officers and I want to personally thank everyone who attended the social. What a great turnout!
Trivia night was held January 24 and was so much fun as usual. Also, Casino Night is coming up on February 29. It is always a great time. I hope everyone will be able to join us. Remember, these are fundraisers for our temple, and Casino Night helps us support the Daughters of the Nile Foundation as well.
As this is my last newsletter as Queen, I want to thank everyone for the support you have given me this year. It has been a fun year—one where I have learned a lot—and it has gone by so fast. I can’t believe I have only two more meetings and my year as Queen is over.
