Well, another year has begun. I cannot believe I’m Queen already! It’s very nerve-wracking, but I’m sure I’ll survive…everyone else has. (LOL) First, I want to thank all my
officers for being at Installation. It was a beautiful ceremony, and everyone was gorgeous.
The Installation ceremony was held March 23, 2019, at Hadi Temple. It is a day I will never forget. My daughter came in from Colorado to surprise me, and boy, did she ever! Second, I would like to thank my Installing Officers. They did such a great job. I especially want to thank PSQ Sue for investing me with the crown. She will never know how very much that meant to me.
Thanks go out to the Patrol, Egyptian Band, and Dancers and Pageantry for their performances. They did a great job, and everyone enjoyed them. I heard several guests talking about how good they all were. You all made me proud. Also, thanks to Nancy, Sylvia, and Millie for the reception. Guests were talking about how delicious the food was. You three always do such a great job.
Our first Stated Session of the Nile year was held April 1 at Hadi Temple, where the unit officers were installed. On April 9, I will be traveling to Princeton Nile Club for their installation of officers. If you would like to attend, contact Pr. Royal about carpooling.
Our SQ visitation is early this year. It is Monday, July 8, at 7 pm at Hadi Temple. The banquet will be at 5:30 pm in the Red Fez. I hope you will plan on being there if at all possible. To the officers, let’s try to memorize our parts. That goes for me too.
My theme for this year: Good listeners, like precious gems, are to be treasured. —Walter Anderson
My motto: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope. —Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
My scripture: Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
