I love you all and am so thankful for this opportunity to serve Isis Temple! I am anxious, of course, yet excited to start our work for this year. Thank you for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am truly humbled and focused on producing great work. You have all supported and encouraged me throughout this process, and I am so grateful to each of you for that. Thank you to all who attended the Installation of Officers on March 12, 2016, at the Masonic Temple. I will always cherish that day—such a beautiful experience. Special thanks to the Installing Officers, Units, designated helpers and those who attended. Your expressions of love and support were felt throughout the day!
This will be a year filled with engaging meetings, fun social events, and creative fundraisers! Please participate as much as your other duties allow. A calendar is included in this newsletter.
Our first Stated Session will be held Monday, April 4, 2016, at 7:00pm at Hadi Temple. I will have the honor of installing the Unit Officers as well as Officers who were unable to attend Installation.
On April 12, I will be traveling to Princeton Nile Club where I will have another great honor—installation of the Officers of our Princeton Nile Club. If you would like to attend please contact Pr. Royal Krista Williams about carpooling.
Our First Nile Social Event will be Thursday, April 21, around 6:30pm. Location and activity details will follow. Check the website as we get closer to the date!
Our first Ceremonial will be held on Monday, August 29, at 6:30pm at Hadi Temple 2nd floor. Your attendance and support is appreciated. The more active we are as a temple, the more our new members are encouraged to attend and engage in our worthy cause!
The 100th Annual Supreme Session in Indianapolis, IN, will be held June 15-19. I
hope that many of you will be able to attend.
Our Sickness and Distress committee is once again being chaired by our Princess Chaplain, Sharon Harbison. Sharon has four additional committee members this year. Please contact Pr. Sharon, anyone on the committee, myself or an Isis Temple officer if you know of a sickness or distress report.
My theme for this year is: “Peace is its own reward.”
My motto is: “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred, let me sow love.”
Please remember that Isis Temple needs the support of each and every member. I hope to see many of you at Stated Session, social events and fundraisers. I am an email or phone call away for anyone who has comments, suggestions, and/or questions.
“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” —Unknown
