I am so excited and honored to become your Queen. I can’t believe how quickly the past three years have gone by, but it’s been an amazing journey so far. The support and love I have received has been astounding!
I am so blessed to be a part of our temple and especially blessed to serve as Queen this year. The honor that has been given to me as Queen is the greatest honor I’ve ever known, and I will do my best to serve our temple with dignity and love.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Installation of Officers on March 24, 2018, at Hadi Temple.
The day was absolutely beautiful and will forever be one of my best memories in Nile. Special thanks to the Installing Officers, Units, and designated helpers who made sure the day was perfect! I couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.
This year is going to be so much fun! I hope that you can all join the fun in some way. There will be meetings, fundraisers, social gatherings, and plenty of fellowship. There is a calendar available in this newsletter and on our website for all planned events and meetings. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the calendar items.
At our April Stated Session, I had the honor of installing the Unit Officers and Princess Royal-Elect, as she wasn’t able to attend Installation. On April 10, Pr. Royal Cheryl Stader traveled to Ft. Branch for the Princeton Nile Club meeting. Thank you for standing in for me, Cheryl!
Our next Stated Session will be May 7 at 7 p.m. at Hadi Shrine. I hope to see many of you there. We will also have a Social Night at 6 p.m. on May 17 at Hacienda on Green River Rd.—guests and families are welcome!
The 102nd Annual Supreme Session in Cincinnati, OH, will be held June 24 – June 28, 2018. This is an amazing experience, so please attend this if your time allows. We always have a great time, and the love and fellowship is remarkable!
Our Supreme Queen Official Visit will be September 15, 2018, at 2 pm at Hadi Temple with banquet to follow. I look forward to Supreme Princess Royal Shirley Henley’s visit to our temple. We always do such a great job showcasing our amazing temple.
Our Sickness & Distress committee is being co-chaired by Pr. Della Kokomoor and PQ Jean Rickard this year. They also have two other members assisting them on the committee this year. Please contact either one of these ladies, anyone on the committee, or myself if you know of a sickness or distress report.
My theme for the year is a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote: “Bee Silly, Bee Honest, Bee Kind”
My motto is: “We need to do what we can do and let God do what we cannot.”
My scripture is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
I am looking forward to this year so much, and I hope that you all are too! Remember that no one in our temple is any more important that the other. We are all “worker bees” working toward the same common goal. We all need to “Keep Buzzing for the Children.” My goal this year is to raise money, raise membership, and to HAVE FUN!!!! You can always reach me by email or phone with any comments, suggestions, and/or questions you may have.
